Earth Journalism NetworkInternews Network and Internews Europe developed the Earth Journalism Network (EJN) to empower and enable journalists from developing countries to cover the environment more effectively. Over the last 5 years, we’ve trained over 1,000 journalists from dozens of countries, who have produced over 2,000 stories just during our activities. EJN’s approach is to help establish networks of environmental journalists in countries and regions where they don’t exist, and build their capacity where they do, through training workshops, support for production and distribution, dispersing small grants and fellowships, research, and the development of curricula and briefing materials. Anderegg in Climatic Change Journal, July 2010 ACTIVITIESIn addition to our global programs that, for instance, bring journalists from around the world to the climate summits, EJN currently has ongoing activities in China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Our Third Pole Project focuses on climate change issues in the Himalayan region and in downstream countries. We also have active partnerships in East Africa, Mexico and Peru and are working with O Eco in Brazil. For more details, please contact our staff. RECENT NEWS
